My Son was a center of Cham culture. Heavily damaged by American bombs, the city flourished between 400 and 1200. The Champa were heavily influenced by Indian culture as were the Khmer who they were constantly at war with. Most of the sculptures have been removed to the very interesting Cham museum in Da Nang.
